Equip for Equality's Summer Open House is June 1st (from 4:30 to 6:30 PM)
Equip for Equality is hosting its first Summer Open House on June 1st, welcoming members of the community to our Chicago offices to celebrate the launch of the organization’s 20th anniversary. This year, Equip for Equality is proud to partner with The Awakenings Project, which will exhibit and auction off artwork from some of Chicago's most accomplished artists with disabilities. The Awakenings Project assists persons with mental illness in developing and enhancing their creative abilities through art in all its forms, and to raise public awareness of the creative talents and contributions of people living with mental illness.

Additionally, Chicago sommelier Jason Breed will conduct a wine tasting demonstration featuring several wines from diverse locations. To tantalize the palate, Sugar River Cheese Co. is providing varieties of designer cheeses.
All proceeds from the artwork auction go to the contributing artists and The Awakenings Project. The event is free, but requires advance reservations. For more information or to make a reservation, please write Lisa: lisa@equipforequality.org, or call (312) 341-0022, ext 7306 (Voice) or (800) 610-2779 (TTY).
