+01: 2004 Annual Event, An Evening for Equality, Raises Much-Needed Funds.
On December 2nd, Equip for Equality realized its second most successful fundraiser in the organization's 19-year history in a memorable celebration gathering of more than 200 guests and participants at the Renaissance Chicago Hotel. Hosted by JB Pritzker Family Foundation, the event successfully brought together members of the disability community and some of the state's most prominent political figures to support one common mission…the full inclusion and participation of people with disabilities in society. Are you wondering when disability-related events are taking place in Illinois? Our frequently updated online calendar is a great way to stay up-to-date. Also, if you know of a disability-related event that you would like us to post, feel free to fill out our contact form and let us know! We hope you will assist us in making our calendar the place to go for timely information on events across the state.
+03: Latinos with Disabilities Advocacy Project Now Available en Español.
Recently we added a full Spanish version of the Latinos with Disabilities Advocacy Project to the website. This is the first in what we hope is a growing number of our program/project pages that are available in both English and Spanish.
