+01: Help Us Plan Our Priorities for the Upcoming Year
Equip for Equality is hosting three Public Meetings to solicit your input for planning our priorities for the forthcoming year. Each meeting (in Chicago, Springfield, and Carbondale, IL) presents a unique opportunity for people with disabilities, family members, service providers and other interested parties to participate in this planning process. Refreshments will be served. In years past, it has been very exciting to hear your comments and suggestions that have helped to effect systemic change in Illinois. View the Planning Meetings page or submit your comments online.
+02: Equalizer Newsletter, Spring 2005 Issue Released
We encourage you to visit the online edition of our Equalizer newsletter. The new Spring 2005 issue contains articles on a variety of disability-related issues, including a roundtable that discusses our first 20 years of advocating for disability rights. Equip for Equality's newsletter on disability rights issues is published twice a year. Read the Equalizer Online Edition - Spring 2005 Issue today.
+03: New "Dear Dolly" Advice Column: Plain good ideas about disability issues.
"Dear Dolly" answers disability-related questions from readers and members of the Dear Dolly listserve. 'Dolly' Hallstrom, past Illinois legislator and lifetime board member of Equip for Equality, assists a team of policy staff in responding to letters that may help a large number of readers. Visit the Dear Dolly page today to learn more.
+04: Help Us Advance the Human and Civil Rights of People with Disabilities in Illinois
Gifts to Equip for Equality support our various services for people with disabilities. Now in our 20th year, we have provided tens of thousands of individuals in Illinois relief from discrimination, segregation, abuse, inappropriate healthcare, education and housing.
