March 6, 2007: EFE Hosted Carbondale Open House
Equip for Equality hosted an Open House March 6th, welcoming members of the community to its newly established Carbondale office (Contact Info). Individuals from local disability organizations and other community groups stopped in to meet EFE's staff and learn of its current programs. A short documentary featuring EFE's 20 years serving the Illinois disability community was shown. As with its sister offices in Chicago, Springfield, and Rock Island, our Carbondale office will provide a range of legal advocacy services for individuals with disabilities and their families. The Lawyers Trust Fund of Illinois provides significant support for the Carbondale office.
