About the Latinos with Disabilities Advocacy Project

Purpose: To provide legal services for disability-related issues to Illinois' Hispanic/Latino community. All legal services are provided by bilingual staff.
Several goals of the Latinos with Disabilities Advocacy Project include:
- Meeting with individuals and families at community-based sites
- Specializing in special education issues
- Providing training in special education issues in Spanish
- Partnering with other Hispanic/Latino disability-related organizations to raise awareness of disability issues within the Hispanic/Latino community
- Supporting Hispanic/Latino parent disability groups
