About the Traumatic Brain Injury Project
Specifically, the TBI Project provides:
- Free one-on-one self-advocacy assistance to people with TBI;
- Free legal representation, as resources and priorities permit;
- Free education and outreach on disability rights for people with TBI and families
- Resource information for the TBI community; and
- Research identifying systemic issues affecting the Illinois TBI community.
TBI Advisory Council
The TBI Project convenes a special TBI Advisory Council, composed of individuals with TBI, family members and service providers, that helps the Project meet its goals and provides feedback on the Project's initiatives. The Council meets quarterly.

The TBI Project is administered by Equip for Equality and supported in part by a grant from the US Department of Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Health Resources and Services Administration, Maternal and Child Health Bureau.
