Education
Brain Injury Association of Illinois. The Brain Injury Association of Illinois is a not-for-profit, statewide membership organization comprised of people with brain injuries, family members, friends and professionals.
Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). Dedicated to ensuring quality education for all students. Site for special education division, "A Parents' Guide, The Educational Rights of Students with Disabilities." See also: Publications.
National Information Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities (NICHCY). NICHCY is the national information center that provides information on disabilities and disability-related issues.
Parents Training and Informational Centers (Designs for Change, Family Matters and Family Resource Center on Disabilities). These federally funded centers provide training and technical assistance to parents of children with disabilities.
Employment
Illinois Department of Human Services, Office of Rehabilitation Services, Vocational Rehabilitation Services (IDHS-ORS/VR). DHS' Office of Rehabilitation Services is the state's lead agency serving individuals with disabilities.

National Center on Workforce and Disability. The National Center on Workforce and Disability for Adults (NCWD-Adult) is a comprehensive technical assistance resource that can assist organizations and professionals who provide workforce development and employment related services to adults with disabilities.

Housing
Fannie Mae Home Choice and Section 8. Site regarding funding for housing for persons with disabilities.
Office of Rehabilitative Services (ORS) for Brain Injury Medicaid Waiver for in-home services. The Illinois Department of Human Services offers programs to help persons with brain injury become more independent and to assist them in participating in their communities through services offered by the Home Services Program (HSP).
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Fair Housing laws protect individuals and families who are seeking housing and home loans from discrimination.

Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. Treatment team focuses on helping patients return to the highest possible quality of life.
Center for Comprehensive Services. Provides post-acute rehabilitation and support for adults and adolescents through specialty programs
Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital. At Schwab, highly specialized doctors assess each area of mental or physical impairment, and plan each level of treatment.
