Examples of Ticket to Work Cases & Services
- A client called Ticket to Work because their Division of Rehablitation Services (DRS) counselor would not authorize the purchase of a computer. Ticket to Work spoke with the counselor and the client was provided with the computer.
- A client called Ticket to Work because their DRS file was closed before they became employed. We spoke with a DRS supervisor and the file was reopened and a job search was begun.
- An individual who is blind requested that his employer provide him with software that was accessible to his screen reading software. The employer refused and a case was filed in Federal Court under the Americans with Disabilities Act ADA). The software is now being made accessible by the company.
- A client received Ticket to Work assistance in a request for a reasonable accommodation under the ADA.
- Ticket to Work helped a client negotiate a payment plan to resolve an Overpayment with the Social Security Administration.
