Important Voting Information from Equip for Equality
2008 is a presidential election year. To vote in the General Election, you must be registered to vote. If you are not registered to vote and you wish to register, you must do so within certain timeframes. Please note the election date and registration deadlines below:

*This process allows individuals who miss the October 7, 2008 registration deadline to register and vote up to 2 weeks before the election. Grace-period registrants must vote by absentee ballot, either in-person or by requesting an absentee ballot from the local election authority. Ballots can be completed at home and mailed to the local election authority before Election Day.
**Some election authorities may begin early voting on October 13, 2008; contact your local election authority to find out when early voting begins in your election district.
***Ballot must be postmarked by this date to be counted.
