Special Education Parent Council

For our Special Education Clinic to be effective, it is critical that we receive input and guidance from parents who have actually experienced the challenges of advocating for services for their children with disabilities.  Accordingly, we established a Parent Council to obtain critical advice and feedback. Each Council member has a child with special education needs and brings to light the real needs of families. The Parent Council meets three times a year and members have provided very useful perspectives on a number of areas, including the Juvenile Justice Project, priority setting, partnerships/collaborations, and fundraising initiatives.

Our Special Education Clinic is grateful for the Special Education Parent Council’s leadership and guidance. Council members are:

Jeannine M. Cordero, Chairperson
Karen Gatsis Anderson
Elaine Burke
Paul Butler
Lisa Drucker
Alan Goldberg
Jonathan Hinkemeyer
Kevin Irvine
Ridgely J. Jackson
Jake Mattinson
Jeannette M. McClelland-Reasor
Todd A. Solomon
