EFE’s Recent Work

Nursing home cited, care improves for client and others

We alerted the state that a woman in a nursing home was experiencing poor care, lack of treatment and unacceptable conditions. After state investigators found no violations, we contacted a federal agency, which cited the nursing home for numerous violations, including citations related to the person who contacted us. She now receives necessary services, and the care of other residents and facility conditions have improved overall.
