Celebrating 35 Years of Successes

Text: 35 Years of Giving

Giving Tuesday is right around the corner! This year, help us celebrate 35 years of Equip for Equality (EFE) by donating $35 dollars to continue the fight against injustice. Then, join us for a special 35 minute webinar on Tuesday, December 1 at 12 pm CT to hear first-hand how EFE helped one mom work with her son’s school during this unprecedented time.

Interpreters and other accommodations are available. Requests can be made on the registration page.

Over the past 35 years, EFE has made monumental strides in improving the lives of people with disabilities in Illinois, and this year, the work of EFE employees is more important than ever before.

EFE & COVID:

In response to the Coronavirus pandemic this year, EFE has had several accomplishments including

  • special education training on student rights during e-learning
  • ameliorating caregiver restrictions at hospitals, and
  • suing for release of medically vulnerable prisoners.

With your help, we can continue our work to break down barriers that hold back people with disabilities, preventing them from making their own decisions and leading their own lives. Your support leads to meaningful changes in the lives of the people we serve.

Thanks to a generous donor, all new and increased donations made for our Giving Tuesday campaign will be matched up to $20,000!
