What this privacy policy covers

This policy covers how EFE uses personal information we collect and receive, including information related to past use of EFE programs and services. Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable, such as your name, address, email address, phone number and information that is not otherwise publicly available.

This policy applies only to information collected or used by EquipforEquality.org and does not affect information Equip for Equality collects through other means.

This policy does not apply to the practices of companies or other organizations that EFE does not own or control, nor to people that EFE does not employ or manage.

How we gather information from users

How we collect and store information depends on the page you are visiting, the activities in which you participate, and the services provided. Newsletter publication

If you wish to subscribe to our newsletter, we ask for contact information, such as name, address, and email address.

Donations

Our site’s “Donation” form requires you to give us contact information (name and address, email address, etc.). Unless you choose to “opt out” of having your information used for purposes not directly related to our site, we may use this information to keep you informed on what is happening at Equip for Equality, and we may also share your name and address with other disability-related organizations.t

Financial and banking information as disclosed on checks and faxes containing charge card type, number, expiration date and signature is deemed confidential and is not disclosed to others except as noted below. Faxes containing charge card information are destroyed as soon as payment has been verified.

Please note that in order to process checks and charge card donations, we give your check or charge card information to the appropriate banks and credit card companies.

Online transactions

Credit card transactions through this EFE site are processed and verified by VeriSign. Your credit card number and billing information is provided to VeriSign and your banking or credit institution. Children

EquipforEquality.org does not knowingly collect or solicit personally identifiable information from or about children under 13 except as permitted by law. If we discover we have received any information from a child under 13 in violation of this policy, we will delete that information immediately.
